Greetings, my name is Dr. Tsoline Konialian
I am a licensed clinical and forensic psychologist. My offices are in the San Gabriel Valley area of Southern California. Although I provide psychotherapy for a variety of mental, behavioral, and mood disorders, I specialize in the treatment of trauma. I am also a forensic psychological examiner in cases where legal matters or involved. In my clinical and forensic practices, I conduct diagnostic interviews and administer, score, and interpret a variety of psychological tests to determine an individuals level of psychological functioning on cognitive (thinking), affective (feeling), and behavioral (doing) realms of life.
In addition to my clinical and forensic work, I also teach theory and best-practices in clinical psychotherapy to doctoral students of psychology at the University of LaVerne. Whether teaching in the classroom, or facilitating psychotherapy in the clinic, I maintainan a positivist approach, which allows me to focus more sharply on student strengths, and less so on learner deficits. I strive to maintain balanced in the classroom, combining didactic lecture, student interaction, and demonstration of techniques into the instruction to make the learning process rewarding for each and every student.

Let me Help
I look forward to talking with you, getting to know you, and helping you to achieve your goals. I often work with referring physicians and other primary care providers to develop a treatment team approach to problem solving. This allows me to get to know my patient better, and to contribute more effectively to their healthcare in general. As a member of your healthcare team, I want to help you meet the challenges you face. I want to help you identify and overcome any challenges that stand between you and your goals. Depending on your specific issues and circumstances, solution-focused therapy can be quite brief. If needed, I also provide longer-term therapies for teens, couples, children, families, and individuals.
My Goal is Your Success
I work with my clients to help them solve their problems, especially problems that interfere with their happiness or that prevent them from fulfilling their life goals. Are you having relationship difficulties? Problems at work? Problems with drugs, alcohol, or other addictive behaviors? Perhaps you are dealing with a combination of challenges that requires a unique approach. Let’s talk… maybe I can help. I use only evidence-based treatments that have a proven record of success. I often integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches and techniques, keeping in mind my client’s/patient’s particular needs, history, and culture. I work hand-in-hand with my clients to better understand and integrate the many social, cultural, and historical contexts in which they live. I am dedicated to helping others live happy, healthy lives.
